I have selected three extracts from the passages of the book that has been given to me. It's folder 10 : King Solomon's Mines. My folder seems very interesting to me because i have found three different perspective scenes. Mountains, Caves and one underground chamber full of treasures, it kinda combines everything!
First Extract: CHAPTER XVI: The Place Of Death
In the first scene the adventurers are in the mountains. They are in the "Three Witches" the triangle of mountain peaks. The scene contains early daylight as it says in the passage. It describes us the peaks that are high above in the soar blue air. The peaks are purple with heaths. Also there are some flowers , wild moors as the passage says. I can really play with colors in this mountain scene. The variation of purple (peak) , white (snow) and blue (the air-atmosphere beneath the peaks) will be great. Then the scene describes a road where it leads to a mass circular hole with sloppy edges in the center peak. Inside this circular hole there is a road. So the scene as far as i think will be the mountains and this circular hole with the road.
Second Extract: CHAPTER XVI: The Place Of Death
In this second scene the adventurers are facing a big cathedral "cave" where they are inside the earth. Actually they are facing a dimly lighted cave "the most wonderful place that the human eyes have seen". Where this enormous cave "the roof a hundred feet above our heads" is full of gigantic pillar of ice. Stalactites*! Furthermore in the scene there is and old mummy corpse inside these pillars. Also some of these pillars have weird shapes , it mention like beasts. In this scene what i think i will have to do is to design this enormous cave dimly lighted with all this stalactites and details inside. I have seen in the past stalactites in a Greek old cave and are really amazing.

Third Extract: CHAPTER XVII: Solomon's Treasure Chamber
In this scene the adventurers are in the Solomon's treasure chamber where they find the treasure. The chamber consists elephant tusks and red boxes filled with treasures. The passage that leads to this chamber is being blocked by a massive rock. So in this scene what i will try to design is this treasure chamber with the little rooms inside where different treasures are stored and the passage that is blocked by the rock. The passage is quite dark with faint light. The chamber is deep under the mountain so it will be made of rocks.
